• Scientific expeditions of the 18th and 19th centuries played a decisive role in the history of Botany, collecting specimens and samples of local flora and fauna. Drawings were made and countless notes were taken and sent to institutions, where they were later studied and preserved.

  Through high-definition scanning, animation and digital manipulation, this exhibition presents some of the specimens brought to Spain during those expeditions, which are now preserved at the Royal Botanical Garden, using new formats to bring these historical collections closer to visitors.
