Tim Burton’s Labyrinth

  • Creative coordinator, set designer and tour supervisor.

  • Tim Burton is one of the most fascinating filmmakers of all time. Through his creative process—expressed in drawing, painting, and photography—he has invented an aesthetic, characters, and worlds that have shaped and continue to inspire generations.

In this exhibition — developed in close collaboration with Burton — more than 150 original works and 60 digital pieces are displayed in a unique experience for the public. The project brings his inner universe into a physical space: the rooms of a grand labyrinth. As visitors walk through the maze, they encounter his misunderstood monsters, his visions of love, death, and friendship, of cemeteries and strange landscapes. Dark concepts that, at the same time, radiate light.

Tim Burton, The Labyrinth is also a game. Like Alice entering the rabbit hole, visitors feel the same thrill as a child choosing which doors of the maze to open. Each experience is unique. Each room represents a universe where set design, lighting, video, sculpture, and costume work together to enhance the original artworks from the worlds of this one-of-a-kind artist.
